Mini Ares Indoor
The Mini Ares Indoor was developed in cooperation with RC Factory. The result is a model that faithfully transfers the character of the original Ares into indoor flying.
 
The Ares Indoor is made from 4 mm EPP, which ensures extremely low weight while maintaining excellent durability. This allows the model to handle the occasional rough handling typical for indoor flying. Compared to traditional Depron models, EPP offers a significant advantage not only in durability but also in repairability – minor damage can be easily repaired, often directly at the field or in the hall.
 
With its length of 995 mm, the Ares Indoor is very compact. This makes transportation extremely convenient, which we consider one of the key advantages of the model – easy transport allows frequent and comfortable flying sessions.
 
During development, the main focus was placed on flight performance, especially versatility and precise control. The model is designed to react evenly and symmetrically in all axes, providing a very predictable, smooth and precise flight behavior while still preserving the feel of the larger composite Ares aircraft. We are excited that the development resulted in a model whose flight characteristics can be clearly seen in the flight videos.
 
The model is very agile yet stable and precise in flight. The structure easily handles even less gentle landings. The motor is positioned in the center section of the fuselage, significantly reducing the risk of propeller damage during minor impacts.
 
Two aileron servos provide not only precise control but also allow flap mixing, which greatly helps with slow and stable flight as well as the so-called “knife-edge style” slow flight. This setup is not only visually impressive but also very enjoyable to fly.
 
The entire model was designed with a strong emphasis on minimal weight. The structure is reinforced with carbon elements – carbon rods with diameters of 0.8 mm and 1 mm, complemented by carbon strips 3 × 0.2 mm and 0.5 mm, providing an ideal strength-to-weight ratio.
The Ares Indoor is the result of careful development and collaboration aimed at creating a precise, durable and great-flying indoor aircraft that will satisfy both recreational and advanced pilots.
